thanks so much DogTrainingLove. I can't believe that it's typical. wow! I miss my old groomer even more now.
My dog is a poodle so he's at the groomers pretty often and I had no idea. This groomer did use some styptic to stop the bleeding as I found a few little clumps of it on his crate blanket and he definitely wasn't bleeding when put him in. I guess he did some digging to fluff up his blanket and started bleeding again from that.
