Hi Cat. I'm Donna and relate to your post. Although I am 57 now, I've been struggling with depression since I was a teenager. I want to tell you that there WILL be better days. It doesn't seem like it right now but you must trust one who has been through it and even did try to end it all. Please try to hang in there and start seeing a therapist if you aren't already seeing one. And don't waste your time with a therapist you don't feel a connection with! You will find someone who is right for you and will really help you.

Right now there is not many people in my life other than my therapist but I know I am on the right track and have learned to celebrate the little things. Just getting out of bed now by noon is a celebration for me as weird as that sounds! lol I was in a horrible abusive marriage for 22 years and he finally died in May. For those 22 years I stayed in bed and drank and over medicated myself with my husbands encouragement. I had to stay in bed so I could try not to open my eyes and see what was happening. But now, after only 6 months I am already making small steps and celebrate each and every one!!!

Please do feel free to write me anytime. I'd like to get to know you.

Thanks for this!
