My heart goes out to you are this terrible sad and difficult time.

Sepsis can indeed be fatal. It must have been difficult for him with diabetes and the obesity.....maybe he was suffering from loneliness and depression and that is why he gave up on life. People who have a chronic illness like diabetes or obesity can suffer quite badly from depression.

Just know that, he knows you love and care for him. If you can, go see him, even if you sit with him and just hold his hand then he knows you are there for him. This may help you too. He is in the best possible place where he can get the care he so desperately needs.

It will be a difficult time for you and emotional too.....I will say a prayer for you both and am sending a big hug for you x
