I am not sure where the "looks so wrong" comes from, but it my case it was a much researched, and well thought out personal decision. As I think it should be for everyone but in the most extreme cases.

It is such a simple procedure, I am in at 7 and out by 9. Hopefully it will help me handle my somewhat entrenched depression which I have fought for years with talk therapy, many medications and inpatient hospitalizations.
