It's a speech disorder. It's not behavior, it's neurological, affecting the fine motor skills of the mouth and throat.

Glad, my son, is coming of age, in a time of not being beaten with a harness strap, until he can't stand, because he doesn't articulate well. I cannot fathom, that happening to him. Out of my three sons, he is the best behaved. Just defiant, in refusing to do writing work on weekend in review, for weekly story writing. His fine motor skills, also translate to his hands. Give the kid a word processer, aka computer, and he can type the words better than he can hold a pencil and paper. Or frustrated with not being 'heard/understood', when the book, he wanted at the library was taken by another child.
