Well yes, try your best to stick to your normal sleeping routine, even if it is difficult, not sleeping is the one major thing that can make it worse. Try to make an activity schedule and rate all the things you want to do according to the time it would take and the money it would cost. Chose only a couple of things on the list to do for the day. Try to maintain the same level of social interaction than you have when you are more stable and stay away from alcohol, drugs, coffee and any other stimulants. Same with too much exercise. All these things will surely worsen mania. Keep busy (cause you would anyway) with more relaxing than exciting activities like playing with pets, drawing or painting, watching movies, listening to music. These all probably sound to boring by it's things that will absolutely help. Also question you thoughts and behaviors ea. is this thought really true, would I have thought this last week, what would someone else think about the way I'm behaving, how can I chill out?
