Is there a way to get ahold of her privately and reassure her? I know you can't do anything really but maybe the emotional support from you will keep her confidence somewhat higher and knowing that what she is going through isn't right and she can say something to someone in her area who can help?
Just an idea. I understand the feelings and I know how hard it is to feel powerless to help.
