I had not heard of Geodone. My son is still in the hospital and that's what they have him taking. He was previously prescribed a very low dose of zyprexa which he mostly did not ever take. The bottle is almost still full with only a couple of tablets gone. It worries me that this new one does not seem to be mentioned too often in the forums. I assume it's not used as much as some of the others? Who knows! I would think that a rapidly lowered dose of many medications could potentially cause big problems. We were once told that wasn't the case by his former PDOC but I don't know if I believe that. I know you cannot get off an anti-depressant suddenly .
