I think the most important thing about a therapist is that you can connect with them and that the type of therapy they do suits you. It is a bit hit and miss but good luck with finding one that suits you.
I found a good counsellor who had very minimal qualifications but was excellent and just got me. He helped me change the way I thought about myself so that I didn't start beating myself up at the slightest problem or mood change. I still have depressions but how I react to them is different
