Pretend you are in a special educational program and think up a "project" to work on with your social worker for the next 3 weeks when you don't see her. Then write it up and give it to her and do the "next" asssignment, etc.? When my therapist was away for a long time, a month or two, one thing I did that I enjoyed was date/number a piece of paper/computer file and at the end of every day I had to think of one work to describe that day or one sentence that said what I had learned that day. It was a fun game and kept me looking at positive things and trying for positive results, etc. You can decide on one thing you have to do that day ("talk to 3 people for at least 5 minutes each" something like that) or an idea you have to share with someone, etc. Sometimes I just looked up a quote for the day, etc. One time when my therapist was on vacation for over two months, I bought a bunch of school "blue books" Blue book exam - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia at my office supply store and wrote up one a week and mailed them to her office.
