It would be nice to be able to on your own side strip formatting. OH gawd, would be lovely for my ADD. I can deal with this as it is though... Although people using extremely different size fonts bleh kinda. LOL.
The issue I think is that have a function not allowing formatting, also takes away the color of your own text. I think this does call for an "owncolor", only visible to "my" end. I think we had owncolor for the old chat, not for the whole line of text, but for the nick. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Actions can be done like /me sleeps. But as you put it, it would be nice to have it come out in italics!
