I think it might show that it's important for you to explore this topic with a therapist or another professional. It might mean that you have things that you need to process.. and it may just be that your family is not the place to do it. Instead of just avoiding the topic, I would try to talk about other things when you are with them, but find a place where you can feel comfortable talking about it- like with a therapist. If you keep returning to the topic, it means that you have some interest or something you hope to acquire by discussing it (whether or not you know what that desire even is). A therapist can help you discover the reason why you feel like you need to talk about it. If that makes sense.
