You said "our dog" so does that mean you couldn't take the dog...Iow it is the family dog? If so I think you have pretty much done what you can do. You both say the other isn't listening. Have you asked her why she wants the dog in the kitchen while she is cooking? I know you can guess but asking will go far towards making her feel like you are listening.
