I recently spoke to my psychiatrist about my current medication Invega and I was on the highest dose (12mg) and I was having issues with my hormones because the dose was so high so I asked that we lower the dose a little to 9mg because this medication has been helping a lot and I really don't want to switch medication again.
So, since I've had this dose lowered I began hearing voices again. But, they aren't really loud and they aren't telling me to do anything bad or telling me anything at all really. So I don't think this is a big enough deal.
When I was on 12mg of Invega I heard 0 voices, but now on 9mg I am hearing them again only they are quiet and not loud and overbearing. Should I still tell my doctor about this, even though the voices aren't really a threat and they aren't disrupting my life right now? I don't want to have to change medications because I tend to get really, really out of control when I'm in transition.
