Wisewoman is correct. This is not the place to compare best cutting sites on the the body. It is a place to give options of how not to cut and support when someone does and needs hugs and understanding.

I find using henna works wonderfully for me. I apply the paste where I would normally cut or hurt myself. I must hold still for an hour while the paste dries. Then I have a tattoo that will be there for at least a week to remind me of my success in not cutting.

Journalling triggers and ways to cope with those triggers was extremely helpful too me. It made me aware of the patterns that I followed in my cutting behavior and I became more able to control urges before they appeared. I divided a piece of paper into collumns titled: Trigger, Feelings, Thinking, Positive Action Taken, Results. The whole process helped me learn a lot about myself.
