I bought some things for a friends birthday at Target the other day and also bought a skirt. I'm on my way to Target to pick up another skirt I saw...I bought almost an identical one with my gift card, but it won't be here in time for New Years and I want to wear it! I can just like almost feel the impulse in my brain, like I know I shouldn't go shopping, but there's an itch in my brain that if I don't scratch it by at least going to the store and picking up something small, I'll become miserable.

What do other people do to not go overboard? I will use a small basket to carry items so I can't get anything too big.

I do this all the time. I have went to the store with the intent of only buying a couple things and the next thing I know i have spent thousands of dollars on myself. I once on impulse spent $5,000 to see Ozzy in concert. Backstage passes and party with the band. I have a very hard time controlling my impulsive nature. So I know exactly where you're coming from.
