I think I have lost all hope. I just want a job where they treat you like a human being and compensate you fairly for hard work. But it seems they all want to exploit employees to squeeze every last drop of blood, sweat and tears out of them. I was called back for an interview with Frito-Lay as a merchandiser. Then I read reviews about the job. You use your own car, phone etc..., get to the first store by 4 or 5am, work 10-12 hrs a day (no OT) with little time for lunch or breaks, work all holidays, work every weekend and are basically on-call for whenever they need you to fill in. Days off are "frowned upon". You have no personal life. All for the privilege of a job and $15/hr. Why do we need to sacrifice our mind, body and spirit to barely scrape by? It seems to be very similar everywhere now days.
