There's no "dominance" thing involved. He's an idiot if he believes that. I think he's trying to justify his own behavior with himself, and is trying to get even something along the lines of a mere polite reply, with which he can go "Well, she's not mad anymore, so things must be okay! " Idiot.

Good for you for response. I respect you for it, and I think you illustrated to him in no uncertain terms that A) what he did was NOT okay and B) you will not grant him the justification he wants. Kudos to you.
