I'm honestly anxious most of the time during the day. One of the things my GAD makes me worry about the most is my studies and since I'm at university studying most days I'm also anxious all day most days (on days I'm not studying I pretty much always find something else to worry about). Anyway, my anxiety used to get even worse at nights and it's still a bit like that but nowadays I'm mostly really anxious all day every day.
And yes, I often wake up anxious. It's not uncommon for me to wake up and having to force myself to get out of bed to face the day even though I'm so anxious/depressed it hurts.
