Pema Chodron has an audio lecture/CD called
Getting Unstuck. She talks about Shenpa at length as well as using breathing and meditation to get it under control. It does have obvious Buddhist overtones, but that IS where the ideas for DBT and mindfulness originated.... I'd recommend it to anyone. It IS something everyone does, but I think we are much more susceptible to it than most.
