Hello there, I read your post and don't feel bad about staying in tonight. I'm in also, although with my boyfriend, he doesn't like to go out much and I do but whatever. I'm here on the computer chatting and doing some things I like to do for myself. It's also so cold out there I don't care to go out anyways. As for everyone else going out tonight, I'm not so sure that's true these days. I know a lot of people that are staying home for many reasons so don't feel bad. I also don't blame you for staying in by yourself and feeling safe instead of being with people and not feeling safe. You made the right decision, and it's really just another night! I'm sorry you're feeling lonely and I can relate to that. I just had the worse Christmas ever, because my family went against me in so many ways, I'm very hurt and didn't see my kids or my older parents so I spent it alone and upset. I'm learning to take care of myself because that's what matters first. Take care of yourself and my favorite thing to do when lonely is watch some fun TV and eat something yummy!
