Did you know that animals SI too? Their problems go from minor things to killing themselves. Dogs will lick one area on their leg until it forms a severe, infected sore. Bird pluck their feathers and self mutilate for emotional reasons. There are almost as many antipsychotics and anti-depressants for animals as there are for people.

I gave your question some thought, but couldn't come up with an animal that represented SI. The only difference is that they can't tell anyone what is bothering them. At least we have the option of talking about what is tearing us apart.
