That sounds rough. I have a huge issue with memory problems, so when i started doing scary stuff on ambien then not remember it, i stopped the med. The first time, i was told it was a matter of going too bed then taking it. When stuff continued to happen, i had to come off it (it became life - threatening). If it helps you and you can handle knowing some times you may do embarrassing or weird things while on the med, it's may be beneficial to take. I just don't understand why it's still a legal prescription when so many people have had really serious consequences from taking it. I actually attempted suicide while supposedly sleep. i have known people to drive on it and hurt others as well as themselves. Scary drug!
