When the secretary for my pdoc calls to reschedule, I tell her I really need to see him because he is so stacked up that it is about 4 months between appointments. She will then either fit me in or put me on the list for first cancellation, or she says never mind and moves another patient. Pdoc now has hired a NP and she will see me between appointments with him. I was worried that he was not going to see him any more, but she explained her role to me.

I am so grateful for pdoc's wonderful secretary for her concern and understanding. I really think developing and keeping a good relationship with office staff is essential.
