Ok, I'm seriously liking my pdoc right now.

I've been struggling with getting myself motivated to apply butt to chair and do my work. I work from home so there are a bazillion distractions that can take me off course. My usual morning routine consists of multiple tasks from getting my daughter out the door on time to making my husband a fresh pot of coffee. All of these things I can do on auto pilot while my mind wanders free. After all of my morning chores are done and my mind has been wandering, I then have to sit down at my computer and attempt to reign in my attention to start work. Needless to say, most days I can't do it. I just can't summon up my focus at-will. So my pdoc suggested that I go straight from bed to computer and stay put for at least two hours. Then I can give myself a break and get dressed, etc.
His reasoning is (of course) to not give my mind a chance to wander in the morning. I'm looking forward to trying this tomorrow. Procrastination has been my worst enemy lately and nothing has worked to tame the beast.

Love how my pdoc does not automatically go to his prescription pad to solve issues that could be dealt with in other ways.

Just thought I'd share that I had a super good session today.
Thanks for this!
