I understand what you are saying, Lexapro has the addition of an isolated isomer (or some science like that :-)).

Technically however they are still two separate meds and you can be prescribed either. Some people prefer Celexa (or the generic citaprolam) to Lexapro, (or generic escitaprolam) and vice versa. It all depends on the person.
