I just went for a while not getting on here. I have been making huge strides in my treatment, and I have been really focusing on that, but I have realized that being on here is a very important part of my treatment. My wife for example, as much as I love her, and as much as she has put up with, she must love me so much, but she has no idea what my experience is like. I try to talk to her about the experiences and it eludes her entirely. On here, I can write something like 'black manic episode ended in hurting myself and suicidal ideations' and someone is likely to write back 'one of those nights, huh?'... The relief of getting those kinds of replies is impossible to describe! I 2nd the user above who said they'd never felt understood before. This place is amazing, I want to be back on everyday.
