Not exactly, but similar. What you said -- about it being totally different than hearing things in your head,
not like a song that's stuck there -- is well-put. (The whole of what
you said, not my half-baked synopsis of it…

)
I hear music. And voices. Not in my head. Indistinct, can't make out what's being said. With the music, I could describe the style, but nothing as specific as a melody line. I don't find it soothing. A bit disconcerting, but I don't freak out or anything. It happens often enough anymore that I'm
kind of used to it. When it goes on, it gets annoying, like, "enough, already!" Typical varieties are… conversation, with a sound like a couple walls away, and those that sound like an old radio...voices like sports announcers(!) with a crowd, or old time music (30's? 40's? kind of style maybe even 20's??) or radio show. As we don't watch sports or listen to that old-timey stuff, it's kind of weird. But the upside is that since those are the most common, if
they start, I don't bother asking if anyone else hears them anymore.

As to your schizoaffective question. I'm not, and my psych isn't worried about these things I hear.
(looking4polaris -- Freaked me out for a second there. Thought I was losing it. "I don't remember replying to this thread! Oh no! I don't
remember! Oh. Wait." Haha.)
