I read this and I immediately thought of "fear". Fear of success, fear of failure, fear of doing the work. I personally don't believe in laziness. I think that everyone wants to feel good about themselves and succeed. A lack of motivation, to me, usually is the result of fear. It's so much easier to say, "oh i didn't have time" or "oh i didn't study" to explain a bad grade or not meeting your goal (getting a 90% or better). Do you find that to be true? Have you ever envisioned yourself earning a 100%? or some other positive outcome? Have you imagined how good that might feel? No one can motivate you... that has to come from you. One of my favorite self-help people said, "Remember the *why*. Remember why you wanted this in the first place and use that as a source of motivation".
