That's so interesting. I was just reading a book today, I can't remember who it was by, that talked about how people nowadays are taught to feel guilty for having their own desires, learn that "what's meant to be is meant to be", and settle for what they have rather than strive for something more. It's a very stark contrast to your quote seems to be saying. I wonder, where is the line between gratitude for what you have and just resigning to the fact that what you have is what you have, despite disappointment or desire for more?
