“Relationships & Communication” seems to be concerned with existing relationships.
I can’t even find a separate forum for social anxiety; you then have to go to “Anxiety, Panic and Phobias”.
my opinion meeting new people is part of learning about and having relationships.

there are many different kinds of relationships....

Acquaintance relationships... (people we see in passing that we may want to get to know, people we hardly know but have met on one form or another (visually, verbally, or have listened to them from a distance while they were talking to someone else, or just going about our day) in passing.

friends people we have gotten to know or are starting to form friend ship type relationships.

closer friends relationships...those we have begun to care about and are more part of our lives..

intimate relationships...those we fall in love with or have some sort of sex with whether they are acquaintances, friends close friends boyfriends, girlfriends wives, husbands...

business relationships... those that provide us with a service or those that we provide a service for....

my point is theres many different kinds of relationships so in my opinion the relationships forum is for everything regardless of what stage that relationship is in..

suggestion....maybe you can start a thread about your situation on meeting people type issues in the relationships forum, who knows maybe others will join in that thread talking about their problems with meeting people too.

theres also social groups here...maybe you can start a social group for people who have trouble meeting other people...

I know some people who also join dating websites as a way to work on their issues with meeting people.

may communities also have community get togethers where people can learn how to socialize, meet new people and form all kinds of relationships with these in their communities.

some mental health agencies also have classes for people with mental problems/disorders/symptoms that affect their social, academic and occupational relationships. maybe you can check into that in your location too.
