I do, Rhap. Go to OperationGratitude.com. You can send little gifts or write letters or send cards. Theymake packages and include your card or letter. You can give them your email addy if you don't want the soldier to know your home address. I've had up to eight penpals at one time. They are so happy that someone cared enough to write.
The woman who started this gave up her law career to work on behalf of the soldiers.
You can't put your name on the outside envelope of the cards or letters, but you can inside.
There is a list of things the soldiers ask for, like lip balm, powdered koolaid, sunscreen, etc. I've never had the money to send presents, but they are thrilled with a letter.
If you have any questions, please feel free send a pm to me anytime.
Hugs,
Jan
