Strange to see that no one has voted for "procrastination". Many times I wait, but I'm not "putting it off" as such. I take the time to make sure I read what I thought I read, make sure I didn't missread a word or two. If I'm triggered, angry or offended in any way, I take the time to think and figure out if there's any truth in what was said. Most of the time, I try to respond with "I statements" so as not to expand on the negative feelings any more. You know... the old
STOP ... THINK ... ACT thing that I'm always pushing. It really works for me! (While I'm "thinking" I try to use some CBT while I'm at it.
