I had a complete thyroidectomy in September and felt like a new person.

Even though I was clearly hypothyroid, I felt not so sick for the first time in years. I was a bit tired but managed.

The last few weeks have been spiraling down. I'm so tired I could sleep at a moments notice. I don't seem to sleep well though. I'm anxious. I don't feel like doing ANYTHING. My house is a disaster. I haven't showered in 5 days. I'm clearly depressed.

My pdoc thinks maybe I'm talking too much Celexa but if I back off that the anxiety comes back.

I am having my T3 checked on Monday to rule out hormonal issues but I'm wondering if the Tegretol is CAUSING my depression. I haven't had a mood swing to speak of so the Tegretol is taking care of the hypomania just fine.

Has anyone here had this experience with a med causing depression?
