Do you meditate or do relaxation? It helps very much.

... There is a meditation/relaxation I do where, after breathing and relaxing a few minutes, you purposely think about the things that have been on your mind.... then you create a sturdy box with a lid and a lock.... when that's done, you place those concerns that have been on your mind into your sturdy box and lock it, pocketing the key. You can keep them there in the box for now, and return to them later, any time you wish. ..... It's very relaxing to do this and it does give one a break

You might even write them down, tell yourself you have other things to think about right now and you will get back to those things on your list. Then put the list in a drawer, out of sight. Then give yourself permission to concentrate on what you need to right now.
