I had my spleen and gallbladder removed last month on the 20th. It was supposed to be my "cure" for my low platelet count that caused me to not to clot when I bled. I had 2 infusion therapies the week of my surgery to decrease my risk of bleeding during the operation. My platelet count was 49,000 before the infusion (normal is 150,000-400,000). After the surgery it rose to 718,000 and now it's down to 453,000 last week. I'm praying my count stabilizes and doesn't continue to fall still.
I've had severe complications from the surgery, a blood clot in my lungs, fluid around my lung, and just found out that I have an abscess on my pancreas. I'm so exhausted from continuing to deal with all these problems, and to make matters worse some drs are blaming my continuing symptoms on my anxiety!
