But that's a general term. I was referring to more specific terms to refer to "person born in [decade]". Like "40-talist", meaning "person born in the 1940s". Those are very commonly used terms in Swedish, they are not specialist terminology, but I'm not aware of any corresponding words in English.
At a party the other day, I was asked about my age, and replied with the year I was born without thinking twice about it. I don't think I would do that in English.
