My t is 68 and i am almost 62. He is fit and i am fat, but i have better genes than he does, and i dont drink and i smoked much much less (i only smoke after sex ha ha). So he says he is not retiring, but i think we're in a weird race to see who croaks first. I would ask your t what his plans are.
ETA: He has no way of knowing if you will be a long term client, so...
