Because of my mental health, my sister took my gun and hid it. Thought I would do myself in. Never thought of it to do that with. I believe in using a gun if necessary. I also believe that you shouldn't get a gun or be licensed unless you've been trained in it's use.

My father had guns and I was always taught, guns are not toys. If you buy one for protection, you don't threaten someone with it, nor do you aim to maim. You shoot to kill. And if you are not ready to do that, then, I think another form of defense is for you.

Unfortunately, even though I voluntarily committed myself a couple times to a psych hospital. Any committal, voluntarily or not, you can not usually get a permit to carry. (At least in the last 2 states I've lived).
