Many of the people at my church (& they are my neighbors on the neighboring farms) have gone for their CC. They are all encouraging me to get trained & learn how to shoot because I live alone in the country.

I am not into doing hunting myself & my farm is a protected area for my deer & critters with no hunting allowed.....but I do believe in being able to protect myself.

I was under the understanding in California where I previously lived that if you were involuntarily committed to the mental hospital that you were not limited for the rest of your life to not being able to purchase a gun, thought it was only for 5 years after......considering it's been way over 10 years now, I don't think there would be any problem.

I believe in being trained & not just getting a gun for the fun of it.....I believe that it's only to be used for me in an emergency when my life would be threatened ....& that's the only time I would use it. I think having a concealed weapon is a good idea personally. I have heard so many good reports of someone who is carring who has been able to stop a criminal because they were there & had a gun at the right time.
