I've been doing it as long as I can think of and I constantly do it all the time. When no one is home I talk to myself out loud and even answer the questions that I'm asking, pretending that someone else is actually there with me and is answering them. To some degree I believe that someone who I talk to is around me even though I know he doesn't exist.
So what do you guys think?

Not only do I do it, as well, most of my friends do it, too. I do it as rehearsal for various hypothetical situations, acting, practicing my people-skills, etc. I also have an imaginary friend (I understand that that isn't exactly a sane revelation but it doesn't bother me). My friend's husband has a wall in the house that he has named Bob. I used to have a chair that I used to argue with named The A- Chair (name anonymous). I ended up having to throw it in the dumpster because I couldn't fit it in the new place we moved to.
Actors practice in front of a mirror. No one bats an eye about that. Talking to one's self can make them a better communicator, better prepared for certain situations. Also, saying things out loud can help one to work through certain dilemmas. Just my opinion. I don't see anything wrong with it.
