Getting help does not mean that you're weak. In fact actually, you're stronger than the mass population. You can admit that something is wrong and that you want to fix it. Therapy doesn't only take place when you have a mental illness per se, therapy can take place when you feel like there's something you feel you should work on.

On another hand, while your friend has the diagnosis of being bipolar and would probably have more knowledge than you, I believe that diagnoses should be left to the hands of a professional.

The world will judge no matter what. It all depends on what you do with it though.
