I had a Ganglion cyst diagnosed on my wrist, when they operated I could tell there was something was not quite right (I was wide awake for the surgery), turned out it was a "Giant Cell Tumor" growing in the tendon sheath.
Either way, they should be able to remove it, though I don't remember how much the cost was for the surgery.
