Sounds like your hub is very determined to rear his son HIS way, and not let your input mean much. It's good that you have the freedom to take yourself & your daughter to your cousin's wedding....that is encouraging. However, that would be really tough to leave your son behind ~ especially knowing that most of that time without you & his sister probably won't include much of Dad either. Very tough situation indeed!

What country are you living in right now? Some countries still lean towards Dad having all the rights in parenting. Others are becoming much better at equal rights. Have you looked into this country's political viewpoint on parenting? You are still a US citizen, correct? Perhaps you should contact the US embassy in the country you're currently in, to get a complete explanation of your rights and what you CAN do??
