That was what they measured my IQ at during my college entrance exam, I'm 34 now. Among other things, I did a lot of self medicating in my early twenties, so I'm sure it's no where near as high as it once was.

I seem to have a natural talent for mathematics, and science. In fact I'm good with game theory much like John Nash was. In my spare time I've been working on a mathematics degree. Furthermore, I've had dyslexia and other communication defects since childhood. I have noticed a decline in cognitive functioning, but I merely assumed it was due to old age. Are you telling me it's going to get worse?
I honestly dont know , i dont know your dx. you could be very high functioning. You may not be sz , you could be incorrectly diagnosed , you could be bucking the trend.

the research is disputed by many but some common themes are poor cognitive functioning in childhood and early teens can be a predictor for sz expression for persons at risk. Intelligence is not only defined by an ability to recall learned material , it's also defined by an ability to concentrate , to filter sensory inputs , to make appropriate conclusions , to be robust , dynamic and think on ones feet.

I was never a genius to begin with , above average intelligence . My problem was always concentration , my information recall was very good though, but i've lost 10 to 15 points on my iq. It would be much worse only for the internet and my tablet device.

sz itself hits cognition and an ability to concentrate naturally but what is also a kicker is that people naturally forget grammer , numeracy , literacy , all about current affairs , narural history , the sciences , because they become so dormant.
Thanks for this!
