Yes, I have a supportive therapist... but I have no friends who know what I'm going through... what I feel would help me the most is if I knew people who also had it who I could talk to. Thank you for your support *hugs*

However, last spring I had to start using insulin, because even though I was losing weight, my blood sugars were way too high. I've learned that trauma can play a role in whether or not we develop this. I have MS and other chronic conditions, and my doctor said she thinks that my body was just overwhelmed with too much, so the diabetes reared its ugly head.

My T was helpful and supportive when I was struggling with my diagnosis. Do you have a supportive T?

Please don't beat yourself up over this. It's NOT your fault. I would suggest educating yourself more when you feel ready. Also, you can PM me for support if you want. I had a tough time with having to go on insulin, but now I realize it was necessary, and my blood sugars have improved with diet and exercise changes. I hope you feel more hopeful soon. Hugs if OK.
