Always have trouble with procrastinating.
One trick my psychiatrist has taught me--
When you have an important task to do, make it the first thing you do when you get up in the morning. Don't do anything else (except get your coffee

).
Now I realize this can't work for all tasks but I think the reasoning behind it can be applied to most situations. Don't give your brain a chance to procrastinate or rebel. If it's midday or later, try this--Sit for about 20 minutes in a quiet space and close your eyes. Try to meditate. If you can't or don't know how, just sit quietly with eyes closed and visualize the task at hand. After the 20 minutes get up and go straight to it. No detours no distractions. May not work every time but does work frequently.
