A fear of no choice...... yes that was very big in my childhood.... my father was very dictatorial and always knew "best", whatever the situation. It wasn't until later on that I discovered that I had been lied to about huge issues....although I always sensed something was "wrong"

It's great that you are breaking the "cycle" with your children.... I know you're a wonderful mother!
