I am sorry, my friend did not recall the name of the med his dr. had mentioned...my guess is it was some kind of sedative to relax him. If he finds out, I will let you know. I know he also panics when he has this happen. I know I would too; it must feel awful!

I don't know much about G.E.R.D, but your thinking makes sense re: either one could be influencing the other. I hope your dr. is able to help you clarify what is going on.

And I know what you mean about therapy...I have been in therapy forever!
