Sounds like a brilliant idea - if you haven't already, I reckon you should do some research on creating support groups. Choosing the right venue, would probably be important. Safety for you and the other members is very important - if people don't feel safe, they won't go. I went to a support group for OCD, a couple of times, a while back, and got talking to the guy who ran it, who often went to places like London, as he hosted many groups - I got the distinct impression that it takes a lot of hard work.

Honestly, I wouldn't feel comfortable asking you to come with me, when I need things doing, ... it seems unfair putting that strain on you. Granted, I put that same "strain" on my dad, but that somehow seems different, ... and I don't badger him all the time; ATM, it's just for therapy, or the occasional trip to the shops for food. It'd be nice to have somewhere local to go, but you don't live in my town - story of my life - all the nice folk I meet online, are a bazillion miles away. xD

I shan't say the social group in-case it can trace back to my identity, and more importantly, it could trigger other people.

I recently bought a ukelele and i pick that up and practise chords and noodle around on it now and again.
Sorry that you you have trouble getting out and if you were nearer me i would offer to help ( ie go out with you). Just do it gradually but then i guess i don't need to tell you what to do.
I wish there was some way that we could start local groups on here to meetup and help each other on a practical basis. I can get to London easily so that's a possibility say once a month. Maybe i'll think about starting a group for Psychcentral members on Meetup.com. Thoughts anyone?
